CANADIAN STAGE PANTO

Canadian Stage partnered with Ross Petty Productions to create a new holiday comedy show. The client requested that the artwork clearly communicate family friendly themes.
We were given creative freedom to break away from the Canadian Stage branding because this was a new type of collaboration. But we still chose to incorporate the Canadian Stage yellow for the logo and used their signature line swirl to maintain a visual link to the brand.
As the set design had not yet been finalized, I chose to depict the actors swept up in a vibrant, colorful tornado. The heightened energy and sense of playful chaos in this scene felt representative of the show’s spirit. Bright, high-contrast colours were intentionally used to ensure the artwork would stand out within the urban landscape.
Once the poster was finalized, we shipped the files to Pattison for production of pole banners and billboards across the city. Google web ads and animated Facebook posts were also produced to support the campaign digitally.
