Sail Away

Wedding invitations for a couple that met at a sailing club and were getting married at the same sailing club. The bride requested a bold illustrative style for the invitations. They wanted to stay clear of the trendy script-style invites.

The pieces in the illustration are all morphing into one another to show union. The icons were chosen with care to represent items that are crucial to sailing and marriage; a life preserver, an anchor, and a compass.

The cards were printed with a soft-touch finish which plays with the grainy-textured gradients to provide a rich sensation when held.
